Abstract tree artworks

It was fascinating to watch the children creating various abstract tree images. We love Kandinsky circles and loved using them on our tree theme. The choice was theirs, whether contrasting or harmonious colours.

I always LOVE the outcome, once the children are on to it, they are sure to come up with many more ideas, variations and thoughts on the same topic!
With their amazing choice of colors and presentation, the displays turned out to be captivating even for the parents as they react in disbelief... :)

Here are a few...as always only a few to show up here! :)

If we are lucky to catch some more on time, maybe we can display more out here!!

Enjoy creating them in your style!

Durga Puja and Dussehra

Happy Durga Puja and Dussehra to all!
For all our readers who love madhubani art, here is our Goddess Durga in madhubani style of painting.

As the children delve into the interesting Dussehra and Durga Puja activities, here are some of the activities we enjoyed doing during the festive break.
Easy drawing and coloring/ painting Goddess Durga and Ravana. Making a shield and sword using cardboard.Making bow and arrows using cardboard and paper.Learning to make Rangolis. It was pretty easy to draw 'Ravana' with his ten heads. We first made a large 'U' added ears to it and continued till we counted ten heads. Adding the crown and the details on the face completes the heads. Then make the body and the flames and it is time for some colouring.
Now for some artworks created by 5 to 9 year olds during this session.

Have fun this festive season and enjoy creating!
