Foam cutouts printing

Found a good use for the sheet of upholstery foam that got leftover and could simply be forgotten if kept away for later use. The sheet was about an inch thick.  I wanted to also share the cutouts with the children so they could try it out at home.

Firstly I cut it out into as many easy shapes possible.

We used poster paints of various colors and did the print print print!!!

Durga Puja and Dussehra

Happy Durga Puja and Dussehra to all!
For all our readers who love madhubani art, here is our Goddess Durga in madhubani style of painting.

As the children delve into the interesting Dussehra and Durga Puja activities, here are some of the activities we enjoyed doing during the festive break.
Easy drawing and coloring/ painting Goddess Durga and Ravana. Making a shield and sword using cardboard.Making bow and arrows using cardboard and paper.Learning to make Rangolis. It was pretty easy to draw 'Ravana' with his ten heads. We first made a large 'U' added ears to it and continued till we counted ten heads. Adding the crown and the details on the face completes the heads. Then make the body and the flames and it is time for some colouring.
Now for some artworks created by 5 to 9 year olds during this session.

Have fun this festive season and enjoy creating!
