Spray painting with autumn colours

Spray painting using toothbrushes is a lovely activity. To start with we collected a few dry leaves and twigs in various shapes and sizes from the yard. Children placed them in their desired patterns on a4 size sheets and chose colours similar to our leaves and twigs collection!

Here are some of the finished works:

After spraying the required amount of paint the twigs and leaves are removed carefully and the artworks were left to dry.

It is a great idea for birthday cards, invites, tags, bookmarks and more! Makes a wonderful nature inspired activity for grades 1 and 2 and a family fun weekend activity!

Happy creating and thanks for viewing :)

Durga Puja and Dussehra

Happy Durga Puja and Dussehra to all!
For all our readers who love madhubani art, here is our Goddess Durga in madhubani style of painting.

As the children delve into the interesting Dussehra and Durga Puja activities, here are some of the activities we enjoyed doing during the festive break.
Easy drawing and coloring/ painting Goddess Durga and Ravana. Making a shield and sword using cardboard.Making bow and arrows using cardboard and paper.Learning to make Rangolis. It was pretty easy to draw 'Ravana' with his ten heads. We first made a large 'U' added ears to it and continued till we counted ten heads. Adding the crown and the details on the face completes the heads. Then make the body and the flames and it is time for some colouring.
Now for some artworks created by 5 to 9 year olds during this session.

Have fun this festive season and enjoy creating!
